In today's armed conflicts, vulnerable groups are often the specific target of attack: children, women, people with disabilities, and older people. Our research identifies the resources and actions needed to protect these groups. It helps shape a better response to immediate and long-term impacts of conflict and crises.

We tailor our activities based on the nature of the conflict. Typical activities might include:

• investigating the impact crises have on children, women, people with disabilities, and older people
• uncovering the greatest risks to vulnerable groups in conflicts. These might be enforced disappearances, arbitrary detention, sexual violence, forcible transfer, pushbacks, deportation, and torture. And identifying the types of perpetrators behind these mass human rights violations
• recommending actions to protect these groups ahead of any crisis through local and international advocacy.

Your donation will go to Amnesty International UK Section Charitable Trust, a charity registered in England and Wales (no 1051681) and in Scotland (no SCO39534) and a registered company (no 03139939). The Trust funds our UK and global activities to promote human rights. Funds raised for the Trust may only be spent on human rights work that the Charity Commission regards as charitable under UK law.
