Paguro

Paguro Paguro is the latin name for hermit crab. A paguro takes an empty shell and carries it for protection. It uses a natural product and puts it to good use. In many ways, the paguro is nature’s own upcycler. But the inspiration doesn’t end there. The relationship between crab and shell is mutually beneficial and it is this kind of symbiotic relationship that they are seeking to build. They are looking to establish productive relationships with designers who aim to operate in an ethical, sustainable and socially responsible way.

They believe in ethical trade and support designers in developing countries who seek to operate in a socially responsible way. They donate part of their profits to NGOs in developing countries who help young people to discover their talents, to learn traditional crafts or to learn skills which will help them to succeed.
